Our Programs
Meeting every child's needs — holistically, and for the long term.
Built for long-term self-dependence
Guided by our founding Constitution, GODO's programs are designed to address each child's needs holistically — from basic survival, to health, to education, to the discovery of their own talents and potential. Rather than offering short-term relief alone, we build toward long-term self-dependence: the ability of a child to eventually stand confidently on their own.
Six Core Program Areas
01
Basic Needs & Shelter
Food, clothing and safe temporary accommodation for children with nowhere else to go. This immediate, practical support is the first step in stabilizing a child's life and creating the safety needed for learning and healing to begin.
02
Healthcare & Wellbeing
Access to medical facilities and counseling support for children navigating hardship. We also provide education and consultation on health, disease awareness and self-awareness.
03
Education & Schooling
School enrollment and our own education center for consistent, quality learning — a foundation for every other opportunity in a child's life.
04
Self-Dependence Training
Self-awareness, economic and social education that builds lasting independence — helping children move from dependency toward genuine self-reliance.
05
Nursing Home & Counseling Center
A dedicated permanent space for the care, emotional support and welfare of street children in Arusha — part of our long-term development plan.
06
Talent, Crafts & Sports
Programs in handcrafts, sports and games that nurture each child's individual talents, offering healthy, joyful outlets for growth, teamwork and self-expression.
Working With Partners
No single organization can meet every need alone. GODO works hand in hand with individuals, organizations and institutions that share our objectives, collaborating on projects, feasibility studies, and community initiatives that expand what we can offer to children in need.
